T2 subforum

At my school the principal is very supportive of the librarian and the library service. However the librarian is still seen by many teachers as the provider of relief from face to face and not in a capacity as a provider of other services. It is only this year that computers have been accessed in the library by stage 3 students and used in a research capacity during library lessons. For many classes however there only contact with computers is in the computer room and the library is still all about books!! How the two will marry will be interesting to see?? THe TL role does need to evolve as students need to learn information technology skills from a much earlier age in todays society.
